Abour 2 months ago, I bumped into a (girl) friend whom I haven't seen in such a long time. Normally, she would scream in excitement everytime she would see me. But it was different that time. She was cold as ice. Her husband, also a good friend of mine was his usual self. I couldn't think of anything i've said or done to deserve that kind of treatment from her. And then, a couple of days ago, I saw her on FB and left her a message along with the friend request. Same shit. Cold reply.

Then one thing came to mind. Their daughter is my "inaanak" and since I haven't seen them in ages, madami na akong utang sa bata. Eh p*#@ñi^@ naman kung ganon ang papel ng ninong para sa kanya, eh ang kapal ng mukha nya! Grrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Sydney, Australia -- Firefighter David Tree noticed a koala moving gingerly on scorched paws as his fire patrol passed through the charred landscape of Australia's deadly wildfires.

Clearly in pain, the animal stopped when it saw him.


"It was amazing -- he turned around, sat on his bum and sort of looked at me . . . like, put me out of my misery," Tree said Tuesday. "I yelled out for a bottle of water. I unscrewed the bottle, tipped it up on his lips and he just took it naturally.

"He kept reaching for the bottle, almost like a baby."

The marsupial is usually a rather grumpy creature with a loud growl and sharp claws. It rarely comes down from the trees and doesn't like walking. Koalas normally drink little water, because they get almost all they need from leaves.


The firefighters called animal welfare officers to pick up the koala Sunday, the day after deadly firestorms swept the southern state of Victoria.

Coleen Wood of the Mountain Ash Wildlife Shelter said today that the koala had second- and third-degree burns but would fully recover.

"I've handled koalas before," Tree said. "They're not the friendliest things, but I wanted to help him."

Ferdie decided Imman needed a makeover so yesterday, we headed over to SMOA. The three
of us went shopping for 8 hours! I think he bought a pair of shoes, 4 shirts, a pair of slacks and 2 pairs of jeans. We were exhausted at the end of the day but I'm sure we would've gone on if the mall didn't close at 10:00 PM. LOL

I can actually see how silly I had been before when I used to smoke. In the U.S. in winter, I would stand outside bars or restaurants in the biting cold, smoking. I kick myself in the butt everytime I remember that.

Ferdie's grandmother is sick with Diabetes and needs a glucometer. I had no idea where to get a glucometer so I ask some friends' help. I was told that Medical Supplies were cheap in Bambang (wherever that is, i told myself) so off we went to the C.M. Recto area last Saturday. We went to a couple of stores to ask until we got to this store where there were sales clerks hanging out by the store entrance scouting for customers. We took notice of a 13 year old boy, the son of the store owner as it turns out, who appeared to be the most motivated. In the beginning, I was hesitant to talk to a kid because I wanted to get the contraption and get out of there quick. But we were so impressed because this kid knew what he was talking about. He was talking like a doctor. Well, not really. More like a seasoned Med rep. He had answers to all of our questions and provided us with additional information which we did not get from the other stores.




As we were driving back to Makati, I got to think that if only all of us are like this 13 year old kid who spends his time minding the store on weekends (and making a little money for his school allowance), instead of being with his barkada, or watching tv, or doing whatever it is that a 13 year old does in his spare time, (supply ending here). Lol. Basta ang galing.

When we moved to this apartment 3 years ago, I realized there was not enough closet space so we had it renovated from this:

But yesterday, I noticed that about 80 percent of what's inside these closets are clothes that have been unused for over a year and stuff that are simply there but are likewise unused or useless. So this morning, I decided I would sort through this mare's nest and get rid of the unused and the useless. I gave away old clothes, linen and some other stuff i never realized were there. Now I'm so happy that there's so much room for new clutter. LOL
